The man who spearheaded the robbery of Kim Kardashian during Paris Fashion Week in October 2016 has sent the reality star a letter apologizing for all the trouble he caused, TMZ has reported.

The site says Aomar Ait Khedache sent Kardashian's lawyers a letter — in French — in which he takes responsibility for the fallout.

"After observing your emotion and realizing the psychological damages I inflicted...I decided to write to you, not to obtain from you some sort of indulgence," he wrote. "I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears."

Kardashian, who will not return to Paris for this year's Fashion Week, has been open about how terrifying the ordeal was, telling The Ellen DeGeneres Show, "I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things."

Ait Khedache added: "Know that I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones...I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault."
