It's about to be a big 12-months for Boise State athletics and the 'roller coaster' has already hit the tracks.

While the football season is underway now and the future of the season is still very much up in the air, basketball season looms--for both men and women--along with a ton of over Division I sports.

Why is the next 12-months going to be so interesting? By this time next year, Boise State will be OUT of the Mountain West and IN to the Pac-12. A move that fans have wanted for years. The conference is still very much being built out from scratch and so too are logistics for the university.

An interesting 'rivalry' may already be in the works, however, following a recent hire by Boise State's men's basketball team (and the Pac-12 Era hasn't even started yet).

Entering his first season with Boise State? The son of future Hall of Fame coach Mark Few, AJ Few.

Mark Few, the head coach at Gonzaga University, has built a basketball dynasty that will soon be coming to Boise State to play amid the Pac-12 conference and his son, who has been with Gonzaga for the past 'few' seasons, will now be on the side of Boise State.

Announced by the university last week, AJ Few will be Director of Player Personnel and 'BroncoPRO' where he will lead efforts in recruiting, analytics, and support roster construction.

Obviously, he's been around a LOT of greats over the years at Gonzaga University.

AJ was a graduate assistant and video coordinator for the Gonzaga Bulldogs and over the last summer, coached NBA Summer League for the Miami Heat.

AJ joins Leon Rice, head coach at Boise State, who was once one of Mark Few's key assistants at Gonzaga.

Buckle up for 2026--Boise State vs Gonzaga on the basketball court is about to be very intense.

Boise State's Most Underappreciated Star

Boise State seems to mean "football" for most, right? On a national stage, after all, it's the blue turf and the success that the Broncos have had on it that made the university a household name. What happens on the hardwood, however, is far from appreciated at the level that it should be. Leon Rice came to Boise State as a blessing from one of the most powerful basketball programs in the nation: Gonzaga University. Now, the winningest basketball coach in the history of the school seems to take immediate heat if the Broncos aren't in the Final Four. Spoiled by wins on the football field, fans seem to expect the same of the basketball program but when the investment in basketball is so much less than football--can you really have these types of expectations!?
