I had a crazy scary incident on the road this afternoon that totally shook me for a minute or two and really made me think about my safety on the road. I was turning into our radio station parking lot off of Park Boulevard here in Boise and little did I know, someone was flying through the red light that was protecting ME while I turned-- the car must have been going 50 miles per hour or faster and when I looked to my right, it was headed straight for my car. Those moments and the flash that they create in your mind are so crazy because you have no idea what's coming. I have no clue how this car DIDN'T plow into me--but instead he swerved and kept on speeding-- it was so intense I wondered if he was being chased by the police or something! Lucky for me, my car and I were untouched. Had I been hit, who knows how well my vehicle would have responded or taken the blow-- but I do know that each time we get into our cars, we bank on their safety features to protect us from those worst case scenarios.

A MASSIVE vehicle recall this week has millions of consumers making sure they're as safe as they should be-- are you effected?

TENS of millions of vehicles have been recalled for air bag issues and this time it's an issue in older vehicles because the eroded canisters that launch the safety device can wear down and launch shrapnel along with the air bag-- obviously this is less than ideal.

  • Acura (Honda)
  • Audi (VW)
