Meridian Dairy Days Continues to Cancel Events Due to COVID-19
I'm trying to stay optimistic as the sun stays out longer, Summer is on the way and the businesses begin to open. That's my hope but all these cancellations continue to make us shake our heads.
I just checked the Meridian Dairy Days website for information and we're seeing posts already going up everywhere. This year's amazing event is slowly losing events for the safety of Idahoans due to the coronavirus.
Not all events have been canceled but some of the ones we love most won't be happening. Here's an official statement from Meridian Dairy Days.
After careful consideration of the Governor's Idaho Rebounds plan, the Meridian Dairy Board voted to cancel most of the 2020 Dairy Days events.
That sucks! I mean there's nothing wrong with protecting everyone and I guess you could say it's better to be safe than sorry. I also think so many people in the Treasure Valley just want to feel some type of normality happen. Meridian Dairy Days is a staple in the area and I was looking forward to taking our little Leo and Lennox to the parade. That's not going to happen.
Here's what being canceled.
- The Parade
- Pancake Feed
- Carnival
- Vendors & Music in Storey Park
