Armed, Dangerous Suspect on the Run After Deadly Nampa Shooting

We're lucky to live in the Treasure Valley where, for the most part, we're always safe and our neighbors always look out for one another.

Unfortunately, we've yet again found ourselves in a situation where one bad guy has ruined the vibe for the rest of us--after a homicide late this morning, Friday, August 8th.

Nampa Police offered the following recap of this tragedy, this morning:

Nampa Dispatch received several calls of shots fired, to include a possible injured person, in the parking lot of a hotel in the 4100 block of East Flamingo Ave. in Nampa. When officers arrived, they located an adult male deceased in the parking lot with what appears to be multiple gunshot wounds. The deceased victim was known to the suspect.  Before police arrived, the suspect fled the scene in a black 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche, Idaho license 2CBW24P.

Authorities say that he was last seen going northbound on Garrity from Flamingo, shortly after the first of the 911 calls came in to dispatch.

At this time, no information has been offered about the victim, left dead at the scene of the crime.

Again, crucial information on the suspect is:

• His name is Saengutone Ty Maria
• He is 33 years old, and a resident of Nampa
• He is 5 foot-8 inches tall
• He weighs approximately 190 pounds, bas black hair and brown eyes

We can't stress enough--Nampa Police have made clear that he is considered to be armed and dangerous. Do not approach the suspect--just dial 911.
