Nampa Is Now a Second Amendment City
News out of Nampa, Idaho today made headlines statewide as they have become the fourth city in the State of Idaho to become a "sanctuary city" for the Second Amendment.
Just last night, during a routine Monday evening city council meeting for the City of Nampa, a resolution that would declare my hometown of Nampa as a 'Second Amendment City' was passed with flying colors: 5-0. Star, Eagle, and Saint Anthony are the only other cities in Idaho to have made this move so far.
According to the passed resolution, Nampa will oppose:
"The enactment of any legislation that would infringe upon the rights of the People to keep and bear arms and consider such laws to be unconstitutional and beyond lawful legislative authority"
Ultimately, Nampa as a city could only hold it's on to a certain extent over State or Federal government, but the passage sends a message to the nation that Nampa strongly supports the second amendment.
