I HATE calling them New Year's Resolutions because that term makes me feel trapped.  Like I have to see these through, do or die.  And that do or die feeling is slowly starting to drive me completely crazy, maybe you're feeling the same way and you've just gotta let out the frustration.  Go ahead and tell me your New Year's Resolution and why it's driving you crazy in the comments section!

I only made two this year:

1. Get Rid Of Toxic Friends

I call her a goddess.  I follow her on Twitter and check it daily.  I own both her books: The Single Woman's Sassy Survival Guide: Letting Go and Moving On and The Single Woman: Life, Love and a Dash of Sass.  Mandy Hale has a quote that goes something like "If it doesn't honor you, get rid of it.  It doesn't deserve a place at your table."  That's the driving force between this New Year's Resolution.  My mental stability and wallet are doing so much better by following through with it...but that doesn't mean it's not driving me NUTS.

The Rant: You ever have those days that you wanna share something with that toxic friend you cut out and you know you can't.  I had one of last week and it SUCKED.  Thank goodness for the treadmill because I ran that feeling of "suck" right out of my system for at least the next 12 hours.

2. Get Back In Endurance Running Shape

Like back in 2012 (OMG, it's been two years) I ran my 2nd full Marathon, 7 months after my first one.  I was in hella good shape and felt like my body was capable of anything.  Then life got complicated, I got busy and stopped running completely.  This year I have visions of grandeur...doing a half marathon sometime this spring, a full marathon in Salmon at the end of the summer and then coming back for another half during FitOne in September.  Totally doable...

The Rant: ...if I could ONLY get over 3 miles! I set a pace goal for myself that I have to break before I can bump my run up to 4 miles and I missed that goal by three seconds the other day.  Totes frustrating after finally breaking a string of five identical runs.  Anyone else feel like they're plateauing with their New Year's Fitness goals?  It keeps me motivated...but super grumpy too.

Ok, I feel better now! Go ahead and rant about your New Year's Resolution!
