Expect Magical ‘Northern Lights’ Over North Idaho Skies Tonight

What on earth is a 'geomagnetic storm' and why has this been such a hot topic for discussion on the internet today?  While the scientific answers may be above our pay grade, seeing the images that come from these types of storms never gets old.

Idaho, along with 9 other U.S. States, is predicted to get a glimpse of the beautiful 'aurora borealis' tonight!

You may recall that over the last year or so, we have, several times, received word from the Northwest Weather Service that this peculiar kind of storm was going to impact Idaho--and while the name makes it sound like some sort of scary sci-fi nightmare, it's actually one of the most magical things ever!

The aurora borealis, also known as 'The Northern Lights' took to the skies in Idaho in a big way this time last year. Now, weather experts are saying we could be getting them again--unfortunately, they won't be over Boise. At least not this time.

The images that come from the northern lights are simply amazing and many people list seeing these things towards the tops of their bucket lists--and it often requires traveling FAR from Idaho to see them. This week? Not so much.
