Only in Idaho: ‘Cowboy Cops’ Rescue Cow Stuck in Caldwell Creek
Here in Idaho, it seems that day to day life is always a little bit unique. We have a way of doing things in Idaho that always feels different than the rest of the country--and we certainly move at a much slower pace here in Idaho than many major cities and states do.
What's to love about Idaho? Well--sometimes, we just have these 'only in Idaho' moments that nobody else in the nation would understand.
Here's a look at the most recent 'Only in Idaho' moment that took place in Caldwell just last week:

How Idaho is this!?
So, the images capture a unique 'only in Idaho' moment in which a cow on the run got stuck in a creek--only to be rescued by cowboys and cops.
Oh, Caldwell. We love you.
In a statement released by the Caldwell Police Department, they summarized their encounter with the cow!
Yesterday, officers responded to the area of 21st and Stock Trail for a report of a steer that was hoofin’ it and got out of the Canyon County Fairgrounds. The steer moo-ved to the area of Indian Creek Trailer Park. Officers were able to contain the steer after it got stuck in Indian Creek. Cowboys were contacted and assisted in taking the steer into custody. This story ended happily heifer-after (ya, we know it’s a steer) couldn’t resist the pun.
We're thankful for our local law enforcement all of the time--but especially when they know how to handle these very, very Idaho moments...
