The first words out of Bernie Sanders' mouth when he hit the stage in Nampa on Monday night was: 'someone told me that this was a conservative state'. The crowd laughed and cheered, as well over 12,000 Idahoans had filled the Ford Idaho Center to capacity.

While Bernie certainly stole the show with his speech and his special guest, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, there was a moment BEFORE  the speeches that had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with fun.

As event organizers were getting things prepped for the speeches--and after Built To Spill was done preforming on stage, a fun playlist took over the sound system. Nothing special--until one song came on.

Pink Pony Club, by Chappell Roan.

The crowd cheered--stood up, danced, and sang along.

You can see the video (and sing along, if you wish) below!

What do you think about a full house singing along to Chappell Roan like this!? It's a very fun and happy song--and it seemed to fill the room with that same energy.

At the time of publishing this, the video of Idaho singing along to Pink Pony Club has over 620,000 views on X (the app formerly known as Twitter) so far.

Bernie Sanders wasn't the only high-profile political figure to visit the Treasure Valley this week--conservative staple Charlie Kirk visited Boise State, with a much smaller crowd:
