Pokémon GO Fueling Downtown Boise Businesses
Olivia Harris / Stringer
Boise business is booming thanks to Idahoans getting out of the house to play Pokémon GO.
Several businesses downtown are reporting increased foot traffic and higher sales since the release of Pokémon GO, which has now been downloaded more times than Tinder.
Dan Balluff, owner of City Peanut Shop, says:
It's great that people are thinking of downtown Boise as a destination. I've seen them exploring parks and areas they normally wouldn't go.
Other local businesses including Pie Hole, Rediscovered Books and Pizza Pie Cafe are all seeing increased revenue thanks to Pokémon GO.
Boise police remind players not to trespass on private property or be in parks after dark while trying to catch 'em all.
