Popular Boise Wine & Tapas Bar Announces They're Closing

We always hate to see it, but sometimes it just happens: local businesses close down. It's an unfortunate reality of business and here in Boise, we think that folks do a pretty amazing job at supporting local. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many local favorites were forced to shut down, yet many were able to find creative ways to get to-go food out of the doors and survive--all thanks to local patrons willing to support.

A recent announcement by a popular Boise wine & tapas bar has many regulars super sad--but it doesn't sound like "it's over" just yet.

You may be familiar with Txikiteo, a Basque inspired wine and tapas location that sits underneath the Watercooler Building downtown Boise on Idaho Street. Known for an amazing collection of authentic imported wines and delicious small plates, tapas, and sandwiches--this little spot was one of those places that made Boise's "night out" scene, unique.

Unfortunately, the business has shared on Facebook today that they are not going to be open any longer, after the first of the year.

We’ll be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am-9pm until Dec. 31. Watch this space for updates on what’s next. Thank you for all your support over the years. It seriously means the world to us.
