Restaurant: Impossible Star Comes to Meridian to Help Open New Juice Bar
If you've been sucked into Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible!" you've probably heard the name, Tom Bury! The show's Construction Manager has quietly been hiding out in Meridian helping with one of it's newest tenants.
When the calendar gods allow, I make it a point to make it out to The Village at Meridian to get a run in with my Team Run Boise family. Every Wednesday, we meet at Fleet Feet for "Village on the Run" at 7 p.m. Since I'm almost always the last one there, I'm constantly parking out by Fairview and running my butt into the Village. I actually stopped and did a double take last week when I noticed a new banner on the vacant space across from Charming Charlie. It announced that Revitalize Juice Bar was coming to the location this summer!
In the summer, I always love to grab one of Whole Food's pressed juices after I finish a run, so having the option to do the same thing after "Village on the Run" would be awesome! I did a little Google search about Revitalize and found out that they won't just be serving up pressed juice, they'll have acai bowls and pitaya bowls as well.
Oh...and the couple behind Revitalize has a very famous friend! Tom Bury, the construction manager on Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible" has been helping with the design and construction of the new juice bar.
If you're not familiar with "Restaurant: Impossible," chef Robert Irvine gets two days and a $10K budget to fix a restaurant that's fallen on hard times. He calls in his team, including Bury, to help redesign the restaurant's interior, menu and promotions in hopes of returning it to greatness. It's kind of like the "Bar Rescue" of restaurants.
Revitalize hopes to open this summer!
