Back by popular demand this November is one of the Treasure Valley's most anticipated Thanksgiving Day events: the Turkey Day 5k!

As we all navigate a year of cancelations and uncertainty, being able to celebrate 10 years of the Turkey Day 5K will be refreshing. Sure, it won't be the same...but it will "be", regardless, and the good folks organizing the event will be working on safety measures to keep everyone out of harms way.

For the lat nine years, runners and families alike here in the Treasure Valley have woken up on Thanksgiving Day morning to take a quick "trot" before diving into the holiday festivities. Over the years, it has been fun to see everyones crazy costumes.

Once again, this will be the case. Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 in Boise, the event, this year, will be held in Garden City for this year only.

Not only is this race a fun thing to do and watch-- it's a huge event for local non-profit organizations. All participants are asked to bring at least a can of food that will be given to the Boise Rescue Mission--who does great work.

There is still time to register and if you use one of the below codes which can save you a little on fees-- the non-profit of your choice will receive a donation.

  • Boise Rescue Mission: BRM2020
  • Special Olympics of Idaho: BOISESO2020
  • Cathedral of The Rockies: COTR2020

$5 per adult will be given to the respective charity for using their code.
