Thinking about a busy weekend right? You might even be the person who doesn't really care for all the noise downtown. Maybe you're looking for a quiet weekend?

I just came across a cool event that stood out because my wife is always watching those cooking shows. It doesn't matter if it's Bobby Flay or Breakfast at Tiffani's - wifey is watching.

Shore Lodge Culinary Festival

Take a break from your day to day and take a culinary vacation for the weekend. The Shore Lodge is host to their annual Culinary Festival next weekend, April 6-8.

You can either use your own skills to compete for Culinary King of the Mountain competition or enjoy the atmosphere with great food.

The Shore Lodge will be showing off two new restaurants and bar for everyone to enjoy. There will be a farmer's and trade market to partake in that includes great wines. You can even take in a movie at the theater.

Here's a calendar of events for the weekend. I'm not sure how availability is on overnight stays but I've listed everything below. I'd call asap!

Friday Night, April 6 "Meet the Chefs Reception"

  • 6pm: Cooking Classes & Meet the Chefs Welcome Reception

Saturday, April 7 "Slug Fest" - Witness The Culinary King Of The Mountain competition live; Check out the Farmer’s and Fair Trade Market filled with local vendors all day; Partake in our wine education class followed by our winemaker’s dinner with culinary pairings from each of our competing chefs.
