President Donald Trump today told a crowd at the Conservative Political Action Committee that he would support arming teachers in schools.    "Why do we protect our airports, our banks, our government buildings, and not our schools?", he asked the crowd at CPAC.  The president continued by urging that the nations schools should become hard targets against attackers.  He described who he would like to protect the nations schools.

President Trump said that he believed military veterans, well trained with weapons, and adept at weaponry should be allowed to protect schools across the country.  He did say that he didn't believe having armed guards would be as an effective deterrent.

"I don't want to have a hundred guards with rifles standing with rifles all over the school,"  stated President Trump.  He continued to describe his plan, "you do a concealed carry permit."
