All I could hear was the Lil Jon song, "From Nampaaaaaaa to Twin Falls and running through Parkcenter..." That's where it stopped. I'll get back to my rhyming skills later playa! That doesn't even come close to a smooth segue, but FitOne is back!

We have a date for St. Luke's FITONE sign-ups and they have coordinated it with National Running Day on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

I was trying to rhyme my way to the emphasis on all the locations for sign-ups this year. First, what is FITONE?

It's About The Kids

I have a special place in my heart for the St. Luke's Children's Hospital for more reasons than you might know. Our son was actually in that hospital during FITONE two years ago. The nurses and doctors saved our son's life and then some. FITONE is the only Idaho-based, not-for-profit health system that hosts a 5K Family Run, Walk & Stroll, 10K and Half Marathon. This event takes place each September and is another staple in building the Treasure Valley's personality.

Money from FITONE goes to the St. Luke's Children's Hospital and that is money well spent. We've spent many nights in that facility and there are some true lifesavers in that building. I'm not sure if you can put a price tag on saving a child's life.

This one will come and go before you know. We will be back here reminding you about how special the children's hospital is again with the same speech. You only learn from experience and I hope to not have ANYMORE. All of that said we really never know when we might be one of these families. I never thought it would be us until it was...us.
