Do you have any Boise related topics you would like to share with the Mayor? Mayor David Bieter will hold “Saturday Office Hours” next Saturday, Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon at in his office on the third floor of Boise City Hall, 150 N. Capital Boulevard. City Hall will open it's doors at 8:45 a.m.
“Saturday Office Hours” is the mayor’s regular practice of meeting with citizens to hear their ideas and concerns. No appointment is necessary. Visitors will be welcomed on a first-come basis and will have up to 10 minutes each to talk to Mayor Bieter about any topic related to city government.
Mayor Bieter has conducted “Saturday Office Hours” since he first became mayor. All citizens are encouraged to participate. The range of discussion can vary, with possible topics including neighborhood issues, ideas for the city to pursue, open space and parks, or anything else that should be brought to the mayor’s attention.
I would be curious to know: with the rapid growth in Boise, what is the Mayor doing to avoid some of the problems that plague large cities? I just moved from Portland where crime is out of control, drugs are everywhere, and you have to plan your day around how bad traffic is. Is Boise taking any steps to the quality of life the same or better?
