Support Fund Launched For Daughter of Eagle Bank Shooting Victim

It was a difficult day for news in the Treasure Valley--on one side of the city, an officer-involved shooting and on the other, a totally bizarre fatality inside of an Eagle, Idaho credit union.

In the middle of the workday on Wednesday, March 8th, reports began surfacing of an 'active shooter' situation in Eagle, Idaho--near a bank. It did not take long for authorities to report that there was indeed a shooting inside of Eagle's Westmark Credit Union.

When details were eventually shared with the public--they were heart wrenching. A man entered the credit union and fatally shot his wife--the couple was going through a divorce--and another credit union employee was injured in the incident as well. The man then shot and killed himself after exiting the credit union and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

While initially, this sounded like a tragic domestic situation--something we just don't see in our area--even more details emerged that shook our city to its core: the couple had a child.

The victim's daughter is a minor--and is now left without her mother.
