Tango’s In Boise Is A Must On National Empanada Day
I read somewhere that we must give ourselves grace from time to time. Today is National Empanada day but if for some reason you can't celebrate today give yourself some grace and allow yourself to celebrate in the next few days. What the heck give yourself through the weekend. Okay now that we've gotten through that, in my humble opinion there is one place that is a MUST when it comes to empanadas in the Treasure Valley... Tango's Empanadas and Subs has the most delicious Argentinian Empanadas I've ever had in my life. For the majority of my life I only ate Empanadas as dessert from Mexican bakeries but when I was introduced to Tango's my empanada world was flipped upside down. Tango's offers an extensive variety of meat Empanadas on their menu. The family owned restaurant maintains great quality control and today when I stopped by to enjoy a Cafemello empanada it was just as delicious as the last time I was there.
If you've never heard of Tangos or Empanadas here's a brief description from their website. "Established in October of 2006, Tango’s introduced Argentinian empanadas to the Treasure Valley with their first location in Boise. Empanadas are a tradition around the world with recipes and names varying with the country, but the portability and ease of an ‘enclosed’ meal remains, regardless of culture. At Tango’s, we bring the Taste of Argentina to you with recipes from native-born Argentinian, Monica, and her kitchen to their quick service Boise location, the full-service restaurant in Meridian and their traveling food truck."
Happy National Empanada Day!
