The “Average” Auto Loan In Idaho Is Way Over $20,000
This article almost didn't get written.
While attempting to research the amount the typical Idahoan owes on their car loan, this writer was absolutely assaulted with:
- FINANCE IN BOISE NOW
- NO CREDIT BOISE NO PROBLEM
- HEY BOISE DO YOU NEED A LOAN
- BUY A CAR IN BOISE WITH ZERO MONEY DOWN
Like, damn. These car dealerships really, really want you to use their in-house financing. It's almost like they make piles of money doing that while folks who can't afford such a high car payment suffer. I digress.
After sifting through all the ads (and there were a lot of them), I finally stumbled upon some concrete numbers. The amount of the average car loan in the state of Idaho is over $20,000. A decent amount more, actually.
$24,339. That's how much the average car loan in Boise is for. Almost twenty-five thousand dollars. We'd absolutely love to know who these rich folks are financing a car for over $25,000 in 2023. Most of our neighbors can barely afford to keep their lights on, let alone drop a bunch of cash on some new SUV that they most definitely don't need.
Are you still paying on a car loan in 2023? Are you even close to having it paid off in the foreseeable future? Or are you one of those wise ones who paid off your car a long time ago and plan on driving it into the ground? If that's you, you a real one.
Let's connect! We're curious to see if these numbers are even close to being accurate.
