Well, I guess we had to see this coming The Coronavirus is attacking our people, livelihood and a fear of what's to come. I've been talking to so many listeners like Maria from Nampa that is having to decide on canceling family events.

We're watching in real-time new things like sports events shut down to people eating at home now. Sadly, we're losing people and the things that make us happy. Will coffee be next? I'm afraid that the answer is leaning towards kinda.

Starbucks is leaning towards limiting in-store service do to the Coronavirus outbreak. You can still drive-thru but like everyone else, they're trying to limit the number of interactions. Is that a bad thing? Well, I guess that depends who you are because I love having brainstorming sessions at Black Rock Coffee Bar. T

“This means that as we navigate this dynamic situation community-by-community and store-by-store, we may adapt the store experience by limiting seating to improve social distancing, enable mobile order-only scenarios for pickup via the Starbucks app or delivery via Uber Eats, or in some cases only the Drive Thru will be open,” - Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson

Dutch Bros is a fan favorite in the Treasure Valley and becoming a goto spot for coffee. That's a drive-thru majority so it's not really gonna hit them. The Human Bean just finished rebuilding their coffee drive-thrus and they look amazing! I'll still be rolling through the Human Bean on Lake Hazel because I live up there. Most of these spots make most of their money on driving thru anyway so I wouldn't freak out yet. This is just another indication that Idaho is beginning to take precautions for the worst that could be headed our way.

Starbucks did this in China and just reopened 90% of their stores. Let's see what happens but I have a feeling things are going to change daily. Just keep listening and I'll keep you updated each morning with my co-host Kat.
