Election climate is already stirring up to be a twister in 2020 and Julián Castro is trying to get ahead of the curve this week in Idaho. Castro, former housing secretary, former mayor of San Antonio will be speaking in Boise this afternoon at the Boise State Student Union Building beginning at 7 P.M.

I still remember when President Obama spoke at Boise State University back in 2008 in front of more than 14,000 Idahoans. I remember students lining up in the middle of the night to get a highly anticipated seat to see the presidential hopeful talk to the people.

Do you remember the Democratic Caucus? Feel the Bern? I walked downtown as people lined the streets to cast votes for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.

This is a free event open to the public with a meet and greets opportunities with Cástro.
