I've been friends with this guy on Facebook for eternity and it's been incredible to watch his journey!

Rather than have a bunch of friends over for a Super Bowl party on Sunday night, my guy and I invited our friends to watch the game with us at our favorite sports bar in Downtown Boise, Old Chicago. You could tell that most of the crowd were Eagles fans for the day primarily because they wanted to see Boise State alum Jay Ajayi get a ring.  Any time Jay Train had an incredible play, the bar erupted in the famous "Boise...State!" cheer.

But Jay wasn't the only Treasure Valley connection to last night's game! During the halftime show, Max Pham Nguyen, a Timberline graduate joined Justin Timberlake as a back-up dancer.  Completely self-taught, Max was a well known performer in the Treasure Valley.  He either choreographed or was part of performances at the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games (which took place in Boise,) the Miss Teen Idaho pageant and Shades of Black shows at both Boise State and the University of Idaho.

After studying at The College of Idaho, Max took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his love of dancing.  Now represented by Bloc, he's had the opportunity to dance on massive stages like Dancing with the Stars, The Grammy's and Today Show.  Prior to the Super Bowl, one of the biggest things he got to be part of was Ariana Grande's "Honeymoon" tour and was not only part of the tour when it came to Taco Bell Arena, but the "One Love Manchester" concert that took place following the terrorist attack on her concert.

The opportunity to perform with Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl presented itself and it was a once in a lifetime chance that he couldn't refuse.  Being part of the back-up dance squad on Sunday night also got him into JT's first listening party for the new album Man of the Woods not long after the album was announced in January.

Max posted this video thanking friends, family and fans for their support during his journey to the big game!
