The Boise State Broncos are headed back to the Las Vegas against rival Northwest Oregon Ducks. Vegas has BSU as the underdog and there are so many storylines that will make this one a battle. Both teams come in with a chip on their shoulder and the history between the two teams hasn't always been sweet. Remember the punch?

Flights to Las Vegas are completely sold-out and if you're a major procrastinator - looks like you'll be driving! For all of us who can't afford to get off and get out this quick, I found several spots for you to get your tailgate on.

I've compiled my personal top 5 with a few bonus locations this year. These aren't listed in any specific order but I used the following to help build my list.

  1. Sports ambiance, climate, and culture.
  2. Viewing experience.
  3. Brew and food.

    Big Al's

Located in the Village at Meridian

Big Al's grabs our top spot for Las Vegas Bowl viewing this weekend. There is no escape when sitting down to watch a game at Big Al's. Enjoy a 55-foot wide experience which practically puts you in the game on the largest screen in the Northwest! Want to see how you're doing in your office pool? Catch the other games while watching your Broncos take on the Ducks.

Looking for a good brew? Sip from the 100-ounce beer tube that will keep you the center of attention. Lacy Storm will be pouring those drinks and serving up Mac & Jacks bites!

Are the kids getting restless? Take a halftime break and bowl a few games or head upstairs to the game room. Big Al's has it all.

    Taphouse

Located on 760 main street next to Pita Pit

Taphouse is in the heart of Downtown Boise located next to Pita Pit (sidenote: One of my more intoxicated evenings, I stumbled to the front of the line, accidentally took someone's pita and went outside to eat. The manager came out and explained I just took another order - I paid, MY BAD!)

Taphouse holds 44 brews on tap and has been voted best sports bar 3 years running. Food is the bomb and you can catch brunch right before the BSU. Brunch ends at 2 p.m. Make sure to ask about the Rosemary fries.

location hits the spot, and perfect to walk outside for some shopping afterward!
