Yesterday evening, our 103.5 KISS FM team rolled out to downtown Boise to join thousands of others in front of the Idaho State Capitol Building. The purpose: a candlelight vigil to honor black Americans who have been victim to unlawful police brutality and racial inequality.

In my years of living and growing up here in the Treasure Valley, I have never seen such a large gathering of people. You could have heard a pen drop in between the reading of names. The experience was both emotional and motivating. The fact that it was peaceful and went on without a hitch made it just one of those "Just Boise" things. I'm thankful and proud of this city.

I had a chance to talk with one of the organizers of the event, Whitney Mestelle, this afternoon on 103.5 KISS FM. Sharing the airwaves with her today was an honor. Check out the video below for our full conversation.
