Major Country Music Fest Near Idaho Calls Off Summer 2026 Show
Shocking news came to live music lovers late last week as a beloved music festival has said it's taking a 'hiatus' in 2026. While the festival has not said they won't be coming back ever -- this is certainly not a sign of good things to come.
The music fest, known as Watershed, is held annually at 'The Gorge in George', a beautiful and remote outdoor venue in central Washington. Fans will flock to catch weekend-long concerts and even camp in trailers, tents, and cars just yards away from the main stage.

In a statement released by Watershed Festival on Facebook and Instagram late Friday, January 23rd, the heartbreaking news was shared:
After 13 incredible yers of Country Music and Community at The Gorge, we wanted to be the first to let you know that Watershed will be taking a hiatus in 2026. Any future plans will be announced accordingly. #SheddersForLife
Obviously, this announcement broke the hearts of THOUSANDS of music fans.
There is something magical about live music at The Gorge in George -- it brings people together. Hopefully, we'll see a return of Watershed soon.
While nothing can replace Watershed, our own Ford Idaho Center is known to be home to TONS of major concerts--particularly country concerts--every single summer. Plenty of new shows are still expected to be announced but for now, here is a look at what we KNOW we can expect at the Ford Idaho Center this year:
