Where Is Boise On The Healthiest Places To Live In The U.S. List

Needless to say I love living in the Treasure Valley. I've always believed that Boise makes it easy to live a healthy lifestyle. Why? For me it's the the fact that no matter where you live in the valley it's easy to get outside and enjoy your favorite activities. There was no scientific data to back that up, just a feeling and an observation until now. WalletHub just released a study that ranked the Healthiest Places to Live in the U.S. and Boise came in at number 20 out of 182 cities. Ironically enough San Francisco came in at number one (is that not one of the most cities affected by COVID-19)? My hometown of San Diego came in fourth and I definitely agree with that, Brownsville, TX came in last at number 182. Check out the full list as well as the methodology below.

Methodology

"To determine which areas prioritize residents’ well-being, WalletHub compared more than 180 of the most populated U.S. cities across 44 key indicators of good health. Our data set ranges from the cost of a medical visit to fruit and vegetable consumption to COVID-19 cases."
