Everywhere we look, everywhere we go there it is. Coronavirus this, Coronavirus that. We keep hearing that there are no confirmed cases in Idaho and now we have an important piece if information. Out of 1.7 million people in Idaho only 93 have been tested... I don't know about you but that's kind of an important detail in the grand scheme of things. The issue has been that the test was only available at state run labs. The good news is that now commercial labs will begin to offer the test. Saltzer Health is leading the way on the commercial side of things but be aware that not everyone will be tested. According to the CDC all labs must follow guidelines before testing and then sending the test to Quest labs in California for results.

Who can get tested? According to KTVB   “If you haven't been exposed to someone with a virus or traveled to an area where the virus is present, [and] here's the important part, have the symptoms that are very clear there, you don't need the test,” said physician Tommy Ahlquist, CEO of Ball Ventures Ahlquist, which owns Saltzer Health.

Just in case you're still wondering if you may have it here are the symptoms of the Coronavirus. Yes it's similar to the flu but not exactly the same.

Fever

Cough

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure.
