Ready, set, GREEN! Whole Foods on Broadway is celebrating Earth Day in a big way!

My friends laugh at me overtime we go grab lunch at Whole Foods and I park my very clearly, gasoline powered Mazda 3 in the "preferred for electric car parking" spot.  I've never seen anyone actually using the spot before, but on Saturday, April 22nd, that won't be the case.  To celebrate Earth Day, Whole Foods Market is throwing a huge "green" themed festival from 2-5 p.m. The day's events include an Electric Car Show! If you drive one, you're welcome to show it off during the show or if your curious about the ones who are driving beside you on the connector, stop by to learn more about electric cars!

Other vendors include a favorite of the trail running half of my running club, Team Run Boise, Cafe Mule.  If you've never hiked the trails to find Richard the Mule and his now famous pour over coffee, you can try it at Whole Foods during the event.  Boise Bicycle Project will also have their equipment on site for you to do a FREE DIY bike tune up or repair to get your bike ready for when the Greenbelt reopens once rive flooding subsides.

Idaho Power, Useful Glassworks, Corks for a Cure, Boise Electric Bikes, EuroXT Food Pulper, KatieBee Honey, EvenGreen Technology, Treasure Valley Bee Rescue and Republic Services will be on site as well.

Getting ready to plant your garden this spring? Stop by the event (or anytime during regular Whole Foods' business hours April 20th - 23rd)  to pick up 20 yards of FREE compost donated by Clay Peak Landfill.

OH! And did I mention, we want to help you with your grocery shopping?  Become a Friends with Benefits and get in to win a FREE Whole Foods Gift Card below!
