There are few greater pleasures in life than feeling that first sip of piping hot coffee hit your tongue. It's even more magical during the holidays, when there's a slight crisp in the air.

But why does it cost so much to drink coffee in Idaho?

Idaho ranks fourth in the nation when it comes to the price for a cup of coffee.

It's true. Idaho's average cup of coffee costs more than it does in 46 other states across the country.

Oklahoma has America's highest average coffee price at $6.42 for one coffee. Idaho's average currently stands at $5.58.

Serious question: Do you find yourself paying around $5.58 every time you go out to grab a cup of coffee? That number feels awfully high. Makes sense if you're getting a specialty drink with all the fixings, but just for a cup of coffee? Seems like a lot.

Let's connect and compare receipts to see how accurate these numbers really are, and more importantly, to see if we're getting way overcharged for our caffeine hit here in the Gem State!
