Will Marijuana Be Legalized In Idaho By Christmas?
It's that time of year!
Santa Clause and all his tiny little elves are hard at work up at the North Pole, currently creating amazing toys for all the good little Idaho girls and good little Idaho boys.
By December 25th, the jolly ol' guy will be dropping presents around the tree for everyone to enjoy, and Christmas in Idaho will be as lovely as always.
But, would it be better if you were blazed out of your mind?
Will Idaho be legalizing marijuana use by December 25th, 2024?
First off, let's look at the facts.
As of the writing of this article, it's still very illegal to possess or smoke marijuana in the state of Idaho. That includes recreational weed, as well as prescribed medical cannabis. They're both still illegal.
But, when's that going to change?
Some activists just recently filed a ballot measure to legalize marijuana in Idaho in the 2026 election. Does that mean it's going to go through and weed will be legal to possess and smoke in the Gem State?
We'll have to wait until 2026 at the earliest to find out.
Hopefully, you can still enjoy Christmas without the sticky icky icky. Maybe try eggnog?
