Even with as weird as last year was, people continue to discover and move to Idaho. According to United Van Lines, Idaho was the top destination that people moved to in 2020. 

Many might be surprised that some of their favorite stores and restaurants from where they relocated from don't exist in Boise. I remember that feeling well! When I moved to Boise a decade ago, I just couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that Boise didn't have a Dunkin' Donuts, Panera (the first Idaho location didn't open in Nampa until 2015) or Steak and Shake. Those businesses were so common place where I grew up that I just assumed they existed all over the country!

While 2020 was a difficult times for businesses, both local and chain, we're optimistic that things will turn begin to turn around as the year continues. There are plenty of local favorites that we'd like to see come back in addition to these 10 businesses we'd love to see open in Boise.
