When it comes to fulfilling a need in the Treasure Valley, our people always step up--and this summer, we're asking you to step UP, so that local children can stay A Step Ahead.

In the Nampa School District alone, over 10% of students are experiencing homelessness. While this statistic was published in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and frankly, all of the craziness going on in this world right now, the need is higher than ever for families and children across the Treasure Valley.

On Saturday, August 13th, at Central Elementary School, 103.5 KISS FM will be partnering with Idaho Central Credit Union and many other local organizations to provide a day of safe fun for local children. There, FREE haircuts will be offered to any child who shows up and needs one before the new school year.

We understand that confidence is everything when it comes to walking into a classroom and preparing to learn. It is through confidence that a child is able to be vulnerable enough to open their minds and hearts to learn, make friends, and develop into the young leaders of tomorrow that our community needs.

We as a radio station strongly believe in finding the need and serving where we can. Of course, we can't do this without you.  Funds raised will go to the Family Community Resource Center, who will be responsible for distributing shoes and other goods to children and families.

If you would like to donate to our cause and help us reach our goal of providing 103 pairs of back to school shoes, you may do so by tapping the small "Donate" square, below:

If you or someone you know can benefit from our one-day event--please, spread the word!

We look forward to helping every child in the Treasure Valley start the upcoming school year A Step Ahead.
