12 Year Old Kuna Boy Wrecks SUV

Did you hear about the 12-year-old Kuna boy that was driving an SUV and took out a pick-up truck and part of a home?  I think parents let their children drive that young more often than not.  What about you?

The 12-year-old's mother let him drive her Toyota 4 Runner in the Reed Elementary parking lot after hours.  He ended up losing control of the vehicle, swerving through a backyard, through a fence, into a pick-up truck and a home.  No one was injured and the mother was cited $75 for permitting an unlicensed minor to drive.

Michelle Heart seems shocked that a parent let their child drive at age 12.  At what age are you putting your kids in the drivers seat (not sitting on your lap or just steering)?  If you don't have kids, at what age were you in the drivers seat for the first time?
