78-Year-Old Woman Hit and Killed in Nampa

A terrible accident has claimed the life of a 78-year-old woman in Nampa. 

The woman's name has not yet been released, but what we do know is that she was hit by a Chevy truck driven by a  78-year-old man at the intersection of Birch Lane and Kensington Dr.

The woman's injuries were so severe that according to an article on KTVB that details the accident, she passed away at the scene.

The man behind the wheel of the truck is cooperating with police and they do not believe that any drugs or alcohol played a role in this crash. No word yet on if he will be charged with anything.

Authorities are continuing to investigate what happened that led to this tragedy and so far they have not released those findings.
