7Cares Idaho Shares Kicks Off Saturday Across Treasure and Magic Valleys
KTVB celebrates 11 years of giving back to the community during their annual 7Cares Idaho Shares Day this weekend.
The entire crew from News Channel 7 and hundreds of volunteers will be out in force to brave the temperatures raising cash and donations for those in need this holiday.
The Kat and I will also be out on location Saturday at one of the 29 Albertson locations, 8 Fred Meyer stores and Albertson's Stadium on Broadway. 7Cares Idaho Shares Day will be spread from the Treasure Valley to the Magic Valley giving back.
KTVB continues with their phone bank to take donations for Idahoans that can't make it out on Saturday. Sometimes weather can be challenging and this opens up the door for people that wanna donate but can't make it out. Saturday's weather should be drastically different with no chances of snow just really cold.
Try not to let the weather keep you away this weekend because the cause is too great. You may or may not have the time to donate this year and this is such a great way without leaving the warmth of your own vehicle. Just think of all the people you'll be helping out from shelters to food banks. We never know when we'll be reliant on these services and so many of us are only a few paychecks away from being homeless.
Here are a few organizations you'll be helping on Saturday.
- Idaho Food Bank
- Salvation Army of Ada County
- Lighthouse Rescue Mission of Nampa
- Valley Women and Children's Shelter of Nampa
- River of Life Homeless Shelter
See you Saturday! We'll be live from the Fred Meyer in Nampa 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.
