Adopt For Free In Meridian
If you have ever adopted an animal before, you know how much love comes from the experience. I adopted my cat Piccolo nearly five years ago and to this day, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. In fact, I take care of my cat better than myself, sometimes! She gets top of the line food and gadgets...it's a real problem. Not only do you form a bond with your furry partners but when you raise them, they awkwardly start to act like you-- she's my mini-me and I can't imagine life without her.
Not everyone is about cats--I get it. If you've had the idea of adopting a new doggo into your life, this may be the week to do so.
If you drop by Meridian Canine Rescue (501 E. Scenery Lane) between now and July 4th, adoption fees are waived for all of their dogs needing homes. The shelter is open from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.
According to the rescue, this will help both dogs that need homes and make space for dogs that need to get into the shelter, urgently.
