If you've never stayed in an Airbnb, let me fill you in on something. If you do your homework, these things are LEGIT.

Over the weekend, if you follow me on social media at all, you may have noticed I was out of town. I spent the weekend in sunny Phoenix, Arizona where I visited close friends, caught some much needed rest, and caught the Jay-Z concert. I needed a break from the norm and this was exactly what I needed.

Due to Jay-Z being in town, hotels were extremely expensive for the weekend. For one room, it was going to cost well over $400 and that's money I don't want to spend. I had never checked out rentals so I figured, let's see what they've got! I assumed they would be even MORE expensive but I was wrong.

I found an entire house that was a $5 Uber ride away from downtown Phoenix, for a fraction of the cost. No shared space, no noisy neighbors, no huge credit card transaction.

It sounded too good to be true, but I went for it. In the end? It turned out to be the best travel decision I've ever made.

The place had everything I needed--from an iron for my shirts that got wrinkled while in my luggage to condiments and water bottles for food I brought back to the house. I even did all of my laundry THERE before departing for Boise.

Here are some photos of the place!

The living room was spacious as you can see above, and below was the kitchen. Everything was super spacious and nice. Everything I needed was there. Next time you travel, I HIGHLY recommend you check out Airbnb!
