All Eyes on Boise: Major Broadcast Announces Visit This Week

It has been years since the energy around Boise State football has been this high and it seems to all be coming to a crescendo this week, as a major national broadcast has announced a 'special' episode to take place on Friday, December 6th in Boise.

It didn't take long for Boise State fans to go absolutely electric!

You may remember over a decade ago when College Gameday, the gold standard of college football broadcasts, came to host their show on the blue. It's been a while since national eyes were on Boise to this degree.

Boise State will be hosting UNLV and it will be for the second time this season. The occasion? The Mountain West Championship Game.

Boise State has everything to lose and UNLV has everything to gain. Let's not forget--the Broncos barely squeaked out a win on the road in Vegas earlier this season.

If Boise State wins, they advance to the College Football Playoff, likely with a bye, and can play for a national championship.

If UNLV wins, they likely pass Boise State in the rankings, become the Mountain West Champion, and could very well steal the College Football Playoff bid that has belonged to Boise State all season. A stark reminder that 'projections' may be exciting as the season plays on but really mean nothing in the end.
