All Eyes on Boise State During This Weekend’s Basketball Game
It was a difficult season for Boise State football fans. Despite the end of the season, which showed more hope--the season as a whole wasn't one of the best. Sure, Boise State won the Mountain West Conference--but in a group of teams that really crumbled in the end, Boise State found a path that was made for them more than by them. Of course, along the way, Boise State had to fire their head coach, make quarterback changes, and all sorts of things that the winning program just isn't used to. Especially their fanbase.
Meanwhile inside of ExtraMile Arena, head coach Leon Rice has been cooking up a basketball program that has finally made Boise State more than just 'a football school'. Two years in a row in March Madness leaves fans asking-- could it be three?
This weekend, Saturday, January 20th--Boise State is going to be hosting San Diego State and all eyes are on Boise as the game is nationally televised.
San Diego State was the National Runner-Up last year, losing in the title game to Uconn. The last team to beat San Diego State before their undefeated run in March Madness? Boise State. It's fair to say there is a rivalry brewing in basketball, just like the football programs have already established.
Can Boise State get it done? Many say it's possible--but they're going to need some fans!
