One of America’s Best College Bars Is Just Minutes From Idaho

A major honor has been awarded to a college bar in the Pacific Northwest that is right near the Idaho border--but no Idaho bars made such list.

According to 'The Athletic', there are TEN award winning college bars in the whole entire country--sorry, Sud's & the many Broadway Avenue options--you didn't make the cut. In fact, despite Boise State having one of the most notable football programs in the country and a great bar scene, Boise was totally snubbed.

The legendary 'Jack & Dan's', located in Spokane, Washington just two blocks from Gonzaga University's campus comes in at #6, however.

If you have never been to Spokane, Washington during football season--well--that doesn't come as a surprise.

Despite the fact that Gonzaga University's Bulldogs are credited in the announcement from The Atlantic--the prestigious University doesn't even have a football program. Perhaps the basketball program is just that good? The stats don't lie: it is.

It's rather entertaining that all of the other 9 schools tagged in this ranking have football programs and even The Athletic themselves note that their FOOTBALL STAFF did the voting.

Who at the publication is a Zag fan? Someone had to have influenced this.

A personal favorite moment? The Washington Wizards shared a photo last season of Gonzaga Alum turned NBA player, Corey Kispert, rocking a Jack & Dan's hoodie off of the team's  private plane.

Jack & Dan's is a classic college bar that is a staple for Gonzaga students and alumni alike--congrats to them, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs!

Maybe Boise can step it up next year--good luck Broncos and Go Zags!
