Yes, we all know about the world famous "Idaho Potatoes." Ask anyone what they know about the state of Idaho, and you're sure to get some kind of potato-adjacent reply.

But, have you seen them? Actual Idaho potatoes, like, in the ground? Some conspiracy theorists are claiming they simply don't exist, and it's some kind of coverup. Or, something even more nefarious.

Here's the thing: If Idaho Potatoes were just a figmint of our imagination, why would the actual, official Idaho Potato Commission exist? Would a bunch of folks get together to form an entire commision around something that isn't even real?

Maybe.

To add on to the confusion, here's a tidbit you probably weren't aware of: You can actual do jail time for selling potatoes here in Idaho.

Obviously, there are some stipulations, but you're going to want to doublecheck that you're slingin' spuds legally here in the Gem State.

Even if we can't physically locate fields of potatoes here in Idaho, we still have a feeling they're very real. They've become the identifying trademark when it comes to Idaho, and you can't go two feet without encountering some type of potato-related memes, products, or even businesses.

Why? Because if you take a close look at these Christmas cards, you'll begin to notice a trend.
