We're lucky to live in the Treasure Valley, where local business thrives thanks to the support of our neighbors that understand the importance of 'keeping it local'. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond one local business' control has led to the announcement that they will be closing their doors for good.

Asana Climbing Gym on Glenwood, right near Expo Idaho, has announced that while they still have 'most of the year' to be open--they will indeed be closing their doors for good.

The news is heartbreaking, and a memo from ownership was sent out via email blast to members and fans of the gym:

For the past two years, I have worked diligently to find a path forward for the climbing gym. I explored multiple options, evaluated every reasonable avenue available to me, and worked in good faith toward the possibility of entering a new lease agreement. Unfortunately, there are factors outside of my control and property management has made it clear that they intend to lease to another party and/or repurpose the building for something else. Obviously, this is not the outcome I want for the gym. Asana Climbing Gym is financially stable, growing, and deeply loved by its community. Without a viable long-term lease or a realistic path to remain in this building, I have had to make the difficult decision to close gym operations.

While local business closing is NEVER something we want to happen, perhaps the most painful part of all of this, is that the gym is thriving-- growing, financially stable, and popular among the community.

Ownership hasn't asked the public to help them find a new home--but we'll say what you're probably thinking: we've got to find these good folks a new place!!

The final day of business for Asana Climbing Gym will be Sunday, November 29th, 2026.

There is still a ton of time to get out there, climb, and enjoy the space! We hope you'll do so!

You may recall not long ago, a large outdoor climbing 'facility' popped up along Interstate 84 not far from Top Golf

Even though most people don't stop to check this place out, you really should. It is very impressive and fantastic for kids, teens and adults.
