It feels like it has only been a blink of an eye since Boise State ended their 2018 football season. Now, we're just days away from a whole new season and an entirely new opportunity to get Boise State back on that main stage in a major bowl game.  For the last couple of years, it seems the program (despite doing well overall) has been missing a little but of its sizzle. Could this year, the 2019 season, be when we see that return? The table is certainly set well, with a major season opener at Florida State University.

Let's not forget how last season ended--Boise State traveled to Dallas to take on Boston College only to have the game never finish due to a lightening storm. Yeah, that was awkward. Let's hope this year, we're on a much bigger stage, for a much bigger game, in a much more organized and reputable bowl event.

Kickoff is THIS Saturday at 5:00 p.m. against a well known Seminole team that had a losing record last year. That doesn't mean they're to be taken lightly.

Unless you're making the trip to Florida, there are going to be TV's on all across town. Here are my three best places to tune in...

  • 1

    Taphouse

Located downtown on Main Street, there is a TV everywhere you look, an amazing food menu, and a huge selection of taps. Grab a drink and enjoy the game here--you'll probably see me here too!

  • 2

    The Curb Bar & Grill

Off of Eagle Road, I've always loved the vibe at The Curb. Their staff is great and they've even got some patio seating options! Lots of screens for you to watch the Broncos

  • 3

    Quinn's

It has a dive bar feel but this local spot is a great place to watch out local team! It's up on Vista next to the Little Caesar's location!
