Having grown up in Nampa, "driving in" to Boise was always a treat. Until I was in high school at Bishop Kelly, I didn't have sports, friends, school, or really any other reason to head out to Boise, and neither did my parents.

If there is one event that I always remember my mom going to, and most years bringing me along to, it was Art in the Park. Each Fall, Julia Davis Park right here in Boise gets filled with art of all kinds--a large gathering of artists showing off their work.  Art in the Park 2017 kicks off today and runs through Sunday.  It's closed as of now, but tomorrow you can catch the art from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, it shuts down at 5:00 p.m.

One thing I never knew about this event, however, was that it's actually a fundraiser-- the largest for The Boise Art Museum. It's a tradition that has been going for 63 years!

Not only is art for sale-- you'll be able to find food trucks and a beer garden, so there is certainly something for everyone.
