Boise Bench: Coyote Country

The Boise Bench is one of the Treasure Valley's fastest growing areas.

Both for humans and coyotes.

If you live on the Bench (particularly near Cassia Park) you've probably seen a wild coyote hanging around. Residents say they've been seeing it regularly for about a month. If you recall, a coyote was the culprit in the death of a few chickens in the same area around Christmas time.

Wildlife experts are urging residents not to get too close to the animal, even if it may seem friendly and unafraid. Also, don't keep our pets outside unattended, and try to avoid leaving pet food outside.
