Boise Pride Hosting LGBTQ+ Night at Winter Garden aGlow
It's the most wonderful time of the year--or so the song goes, anyway--and festive festivities are just about everywhere.
Whether you like it or not, businesses are blasting Christmas music out of every store front, Santa is chillin' at the mall and there's an unparalleled pressure to buy gifts for just aboute very single person that has ever entered your life. We hope you got a holiday bonus.
Regardless of your stance on Christmas, Festivus, or the Winter Solstice--one thing is for certain: nobody is complaining about the Christmas lights.
There's something magical about the visuals that radiate from local Christmas attractions and homes. One of the most iconic, however, is tucked away in Southeast Boise next to the infamous Old Idaho Penitentiary.
Winter Garden aGlow, as it is affectionately known, is a Boise staple. It features over 600,000 lights that are strung through the Idaho Botanical Gardens.
On Saturday, December 18th, Boise Pride Festival will be hosting a Pride Night during Winter Garden aGlow. According to their Facebook event, the night will feature:
- Festive performances by the Boise Choruses
- Photo opportunities with Rudolph, the Snow Miser, Mrs. Clause, and other holiday characters.
- Free Hot Cocoa and Cookies
- Free-range exploration of the Gardens
- Warm up at fire pits throughout the Garden
- Stocking stuffer gift station
- Letters to Santa
- The Garden Grinch
- Holiday Music
- Local Food and Drink Vendors
