Break out your tubes and rafts! Boise River Float season starts next week!

The fire department has spent this week cleaning snags out of the Boise River and preparing it for floaters to enjoy the Treasure Valley's favorite summer past time.  According to KIVI-TV, float season will begin on Wednesday, June 29th!

Don't be fooled by the rumors that you aren't able to float this year because of the Broadway Bridge construction.  ITD’s contract with Knife River requires them to provide river access for floaters without having to get out of the water.  They will be able to close the river for construction from sundown to 10 AM each day once float season begins.

Take out for floaters will still be at Ann Morrison Park.
