‘We Will Miss You': Downtown Boise Bar, Lounge Permanently Closing

It's been a tough year for local business in the Treasure Valley, in Idaho, and beyond. In this economy--it seems everyone is feeling it.

The government is shut down, tariffs are all of the talk, and seemingly everything is more expensive at the grocery store and online--no matter what you need. Is anyone actually shocked that businesses are struggling too?

Had you ever been to The Social on 8th?

One of the great and special things about living in our area is that we 'locals' are always looking out for one another--and every chance possible, are supporting one another, especially in business. Unfortunately, when everyone is 'feeling it' in this economy, it becomes more and more tough for all involved.

The closure for The Social on 8th seems to be a little bit out of their control and the control of their fanbase and regular customers.

As you'll read in their statement, the owners share that there are circumstances outside of their control forcing them to close.

We hope that the local ownership of The Social on 8th will keep bringing good vibes and human connection to the area in whatever their next venture is.

Local business isn't the only business struggling in Idaho right now--some large retailers are also feeling the pain and closing locations in Idaho and nationwide.
